Summary: Paolo is excited! Orly just offered him a job on his racing team! He & Doug will be working together and rooming together. Bigotry and jealous cause problems at Daytona, his first race working for the Orly Mann Racing Team. Meanwhile, a young boy from Mexico is determined to make it to Florida for some reason he can’t tell anyone about. When his path crosses that of another member of the Team, he is in danger too.
Notes: This book deals a lot with the issues of bigory towards those different than you. A character in the story has a cruel attitude towards Palao for being different as well as towards this young boy. Orly does an awesome job of modeling loving those who’ve offended you, seeing the reason behind the anger and reaching out to help rather than punish.
