“Our
orders are clear,” Marcus interrupted, “as hard as they may be to hear.
The mission is theirs, and theirs alone. They may be children, but
angel blood courses through their veins. It is the will of Elohim.”

Summary: Jonah thinks he’s normal until the day he kicks a soccer ball and it goes higher and faster than what should be possible. When he tells his dad about it, the secret comes out: he and his siblings are quaterlings: ¼ angel. A Nephilim married his grandmother, got her pregnant and then disappeared. Before Jonah even has time to adjust to this startling news, his ½ nephilim mother is kidnapped and it’s up to Jonah and his sister Eliza to save her. Their task will not be easy. The dark ones have evil plans for the kids’ mother and they have no intention of letting a couple of children stop them.
Notes: The first in a new fantasy series, Spirit Fighter explores the “what if there were humans that were part angel” question. Unlike most of the books recently exploring this concept however, Spirit Fighter is based very strongly on the truths of Scripture without as much speculation beyond the idea that nephilim could still be around in today’s world. This book focuses heavily on Ephesians 6 and the concept of spiritual warfare. The kids learn to use their gifts in light of the Scripture passage. They learn that strengthening their faith strengthens their abilities to fight against evil. This book is centered truly around the truths of Scripture and because of that, I highly recommend it.

Ephesians 6:10-12 – Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
