A hit and run accident that never should have been... is it all her fault?

Book: Sara by Eva Gibson, Bethany House Publishers, 1996
Sara (SpringSong Books #17)
Genre: Realistic Fiction/Mystery
Target Audience: Girls 13-16
Subjects: Growing up, dating, growing in your personal walk with Christ
Summary: Sara is tired of all the confines and limits her parents place on her. She too is a Christian, but can't Christians have some fun sometimes? When her job puts in contact with a cute guy who offers to take her on a date, she sneaks out of the house to meet him. Instead of him, what she witnesses is a hit and run accident between some car and a guy on a motorcycle. The car takes off and she and her parents help the guy who was on the motorcycle. As he heals from his accident he helps Sara not only try to solve the mystery of who the hit and run driver was, but also how to grow closer to God and make choices that glorify Him.
Notes: This book was very well written. The mystery is just deep enough to be interesting without being an intense thriller. The discussion of one's faith is real and honest. Eva Gibson did a good job with this. I definitely recommend it for young teen girls.

Ephesians 6:1 - Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.
