Who is the mysterious stranger upsetting her parents and what does he want with them?

Book: Paige by Judy Baer, Bethany House Publishers, 1986
 Paige (SpringSong Books #8)
Genre: Mystery, Realistic Fiction
Target Audience: Girls 13-16
Summary: A stranger comes around asking questions that are upsetting her parents. They insist it’s nothing, he’s just a charlatan. But Paige isn’t convinced. When she learns he is claiming to be her uncle, she determines to find out the truth. The problem is that it seems as though her grandmother’s life started when she married Pagie’s grandfather. There’s no records of her life  before that. With the help of her best friend Beth and the boy she likes, Bryan, Paige determines to find some way of uncovering the truth.
Notes: This book has a good message about what love is. Beth has an adopted cousin who has been through enough foster homes to know that no one will keep him or love him. Beth’s aunt is determined to do just that and Beth plays a part in helping him see this.
Recommendation Scale: 4.5

1 John 3:10 - This is how we know who the children of God are... Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his neighbor.
